Shi fu Yang Dong, comes from a traditional Chinese Kung Fu family. He is a native of Jin Lin province and 8th-generation Shaolin Fo Han practitioner, a distinctive ancestral or family tradition-style learned under Grandmaster Zhang Qi Chen.

Shifu Dong is also a member of the Chinese Wushu Association, and is a qualified instructor in Taiji Quan (Tai Chi Chuan) and Shaolin Hong Quan and san shou(chinese kick boxing).

Since first beginning to teach in Ireland back in 2003, Shifu Dong has instructed a growing number of students in Navan, Drogheda and Dublin, classes steadily increasing in size and ability with the passage of time. As a result of this ongoing interest in Chinese martial arts, Yang believes that the time is now right to establish a school of instruction that aims to be a model of best practice, and lay firm foundations for an organisation dedicated to the cultivation of a martial discipline uniting the best of Chinese martial philosophy and praxis into a dynamic and integrated whole.

He has been invited to teach in Greenhills Girls school, st  Joseph¡¯s school in Drogheda. St Michael¡¯s school, Meath youth federation, Beaufort college In Navan. Trim vec. Irish life company in Dundalk, European commission in Grange , etc.

part of the rules in the academy.

  • Students must respect the masters, and each other. You should live together peacefully and friendly, not fight or cause any bad atmosphere in the school.

  • If a student is struggling with his or her training, you should help them, but you should not laugh at or joke about students who are having difficulty.

  • Respect individual¡¯s belief. No gossiping on other¡¯s personal religion or faith.

  • No drugs, tobacco, cigarettes, alcohol or gambling in the academy.

  • During the training, you have to let your master know where you are going and get his permission to leave.

Hope every student coming here can live and train peacefully and friendly with students and masters in the academy, those who break those rules are not welcomed.
